Thicc With A Cummins

Thicc With A Cummins

Nova Scotian truck builder, Jake Spence, of @spence_creations on instagram. Set out to build a pair of trucks with his friend, Marcus Oldreive, that any duo would be jealous of.

The deadline, June 2024 for his upcoming wedding with his long time girlfriend, Sarah Beers.

This particular truck caught our attention right away. The truck is a 1955 GMC on a 1991 Ram W350 4x4 1 ton chassis and includes the beautiful rattle of a 12 valve Cummins.

The truck is close to being done but that hasn’t stopped him from showing it off all over the Maritimes and has even taken home first in its class at the Moncton Radical Speed Sport show.

Jake has always been a fan of the ’55 GMC and you cant go wrong with a 12 valve Cummins on a 1 ton chassis. Jake is also a dodge guy so this was meant to be. First thing he did was throw a set of 22” super single 10 lug semi wheels on it to nail that stance and show off some lip.

The Cummins is complete with a full 5” turbo back  exhaust with 7” stacks. To keep the Patina Jake got the good stuff and slapped a coat of Poppy’s Patina clear coat on the truck.

With the rise in popularity of flat decks, Jake contacted his close friend Matt Rayner and sent him a ton of pictures and ideas of what he was looking for and Matt got to work building the incredible bed you see here. Luckily the original truck was not complete so no classic GMC’s were harmed in the making of this bad ass rig. Check out his instagram to see this thing on tracks too!
