Dennis Haan of Ponoka Alberta, set out to build a crazy one of kind truck inspired by one of his friends, Rob Byzitter. Dennis bought this 1979 Ford F100 in its mostly stock form, site unseen, and shipped it up here to Canada. The same day it arrived, he got on the phone with Myron Senko to get the build started. Attached to nothing about the truck but the patina, Myron was free replace everything with high quality custom built parts.

First thing was a complete Roadster Shop chassis with independent front and rear suspension, Ford 9” rear end, and big 6 Piston Baer Brakes on all 4 corners. Dennis was adamant on keeping the drivetrain Ford for all the purists so in went a Ford Racing Coyote Aluminator built to withstand boost paired with a 10R80 10 speed automatic transmission. Speaking of boost, Myron and Dennis went with twin 76mm Xona Rotor Turbos with custom built headers and a Modular Motorsports Racing intake. The whole package makes 750hp at the wheels with 16psi of boost. The incredible sound which you can hear on our YouTube feature for this truck comes through a set of 12” Vibrant bottle style resonators.

For the wheel and tire package, they went with Budnik Chisel wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tires at 325 in the rear, interior has a custom bench seat, air conditioning, new carpet, sound deadening, Dakota Digital gauges, Restomod stereo with new speakers and dual 10” subs. The doors and bed were rusted through so Red Deer Collision took on the project of replacing the rust and blending in the patina to a level of perfection that almost goes unnoticed. The bed floor was also replaced with a C10 bed floor and raised up 3 or 4 inches (The only GM part on the truck).

You wont see Dennis and the truck around very often but you might catch him to and from work or around Ponoka driving with his kids. Special thanks goes out to Myron Senko for building the truck, Palm Beach Dyno for being one of the only ones willing to tune a twin turbo coyote, Red Deer Collision for the incredible body work and paint, Fat Fender Garage for pointing Senko in the right direction for the turbo set up, Vibe Car Audio in Red Deer for the audio system, Vex Performance out of Calgary for spec’ing the Xona Rotor turbos, and Rob Byzitter for inspiring Dennis to get and build something.
